How We Help
Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc. is a private, non-profit, tax-exempt organization based in Portland, Oregon. ARCF is funded solely by donations and operated by dedicated volunteers. All funds are used exclusively for veterinary care, food, classified advertising to find suitable homes to place animals and for publishing the quarterly newsletter "Animal Talk." Our volunteers provide good temporary homes for cats and dogs until they are adopted into responsible permanent homes.
Animal Rescue & Care Fund, Inc., depends entirely on your donations which are tax-deductible. What we do wouldn’t be possible without you. Your donations make it possible for us to rescue and rehabilitate animals that might never otherwise find a good home. Much of your donation goes to pay our substantial veterinary bills and other direct care for our animals.

When you adopt a pet from Animal Rescue & Care, you receive your pet’s own veterinary records showing what tests, vaccinations, neutering or other veterinary care it has received. All animals are evaluated in a home environment by volunteers.
They also come equipped with some informative literature and some basic supplies.
We do not charge a fee for our pets, but a donation is greatly appreciated.
