From time to time we will post “lost pet” or “found pet” notices that we receive (for animals in the Portland area only), in hopes that these animals will be quickly reunited with their rightful owners. Notices will be left up for two weeks, unless we are notified that the animal has been found.

Lost

I am not sure how you get the pets you adopt out, or if you have a lost pet bulletin board, but I thought I would contact you, tell you about my missing cat, just in case.

He is a large black med.haired tom cat with a small split in the tip of one ear. He has been missing since 3/15/08 from S.E.Portland, 101st/Harold St (near Foster Rd) He is about 4, weighed 16+ pounds when he disappeared. As far as quirks go, he was raised as a kitten with a litter of pit bull puppies, so he is a bit species-confused. The harder you scratch him, the more he likes it. He announces his arrival thru the cat door, and quite loudly. He flops himself down on the hardwood floors-loudly-rolling around and making not quite meow noises, but noises just the same, very vocal.

Everyone who has met my cat has said he is not like any other cat ever met. He isn't at the shelters nor in the DOA book and we hope that someone picked him up. If he was picked up, he prefers to be outdoors, except at night, he ALWAYS slept with my 11 year old son. I know once he had the opportunity to escape, he would so he could be anywhere. He would try to find his way home, but what if he was taken across town? I have a listing on petfinder, flyers at the Humane Society, the CatAdoptionTeam has his info, as well as Mult.CO and Clack. CO. Flyers up in the neighborhood.

Thanks, Laura (503)757.1714
